Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TypingPrep (“we”, “us”, the “Site”, available at typingprep.in) handles information when you use the Site. We designed TypingPrep so that the data you create stays on your own device.

1. Information stored on your device

The paragraphs you add, your test results, lesson progress and settings (such as theme, Hindi keyboard and the optional candidate name shown in the simulator) are stored only in your browser’s local storage. This data is never sent to our servers. You can delete it at any time from My Results (“Clear history”), from My Paragraphs, or by clearing your browser’s site data. You can export and import a backup file yourself.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not require registration, and we do not ask for or store your name, email address, phone number or exam details on any server. The text you type in tests is processed only inside your browser.

3. Hosting and server logs

The Site is served by Cloudflare. Like all web hosts, Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP address, browser type and requested pages to deliver the Site, protect it from abuse and produce aggregate statistics. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. If we enable Cloudflare Web Analytics, it measures visits without cookies and without tracking individuals.

4. Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements that keep the Site free. In connection with advertising:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • For more information, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Where required by law (for example for visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland), a consent message is shown before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

5. Children

The Site is intended for students and job aspirants. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and no account or personal data is required to use it.

6. Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data about you on our servers, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete – your data is in your browser and under your control. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws you may contact us with any privacy question or request.

7. External links

The Site links to official websites of recruiting bodies and other resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.

9. Contact
